Export - Europe and Beyond
We are able to export to most countries around the world, but at present cannot send plants to the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.

See below, on this page, for details of our export services.
For advice on growing clematis in warmer climates, visit our page -
How To Grow Clematis.

European Union States - Including Republic of Ireland
Exporting clematis within the European Union is a straightforward procedure as no phytosanitary certificate or quarantine is required.
Providing we have the plants available we can export within the E.U. year-round.

EU Gold Service
This is now our only EU Export service. We remove the pot but not the compost. The rootball is left intact, bagged and the plants are packed in a cardboard box, with packing to prevent damage.
The top growth is trimmed down to 10-20cm. The parcel is sent by an Express Carrier on a 'signed for' service. Costs depend on the destination country.
Examples are given below, based on rates from 1st December 2009. The exact cost will be calculated on the order form when you select your destination country. Prices are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

Outside the European Union
Export beyond Europe is usually carried out between December and February, dispatching 'Bare Rooted' plants. Our nursery is inspected annually to enable us to export clematis beyond the EU.
The plants are bare-rooted and washed, inspected and given a Phytosanitary Certificate when required. For some countries there are further requirements, please enquire if more details are required.
For specific country requirements please see below. - Country Table
The cost of a Phytosanitary Certificate is currently £30.00 (Thirty GB Pounds) in addition to the bare-rooting, postage costs and the cost of the plants.
Postage, packaging and bare-rooting charges are currently -
£20.00 (GBP) per consignment plus £2.00 (GBP) per plant.
Parcels are sent by Express Airmail and are delivered to you by your Postal Service.

We have a number of years experience in bare-rooting clematis for inspection by the Plant Health Authorities and obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificate which enables export.
We are able to accept payment by MASTERCARD or VISA. Both cards are debited in Sterling. (GB Pounds)
We strongly recommend export orders should be placed on-line using our secure ordering system.
