PLEASE NOTE: Following our most successful Chelsea Flower Show (ANOTHER GOLD MEDAL!) we have enjoyed a veritable flood of orders.
We are now very low on stock and may be a few weeks catching up with these.
We will try to keep our availability indicator on the website as up to date as we can.
BUT please be aware that some orders may take several weeks to complete.Orders can be placed as normal and will be dispatched as soon as we have plants available.
We hope to get some photographs of the Chelsea Display onto the website shortly, but for now we feel we have to put every effort into dealing with orders placed over the last few weeks.

NB. New Style Pruning Events for 2010!
WEATHER REPORT as at Friday 19th at 7:00pm. We have had a few flakes of snow in the wind, but none has laid all week. We certainly do not expect enough to cause any problems with travel. We expect to go ahead tomorrow (Saturday 20th) as planned. We aim to cover the whole topic of pruning clematis using the plants in our garden for demonstration purposes.
We have found these to be very popular with our customers who have appreciated the opportunity to see a 'real plant' pruned, rather than trying to follow printed descriptions of the various methods. You will also be welcome to ask any questions you may have. Each session will last approximately two hours and in part will be outside in the garden, so warm clothing, waterproofs, wellies, etc. may be advisable, depending on the weather. Afterwards we will be pleased to give you a warming cup of tea, coffee or hot soup. Biscuits etc. will also be available.
There will be a charge of £5.00 per person for 2010 and booking is recommended, as we have set a maximum number for each demonstration.
Please telephone or e-mail with your name, date you wish to attend and a contact telephone number or e-mail address.
Payment in advance is not required.Pruning Demonstration - Dates for 2010

New clematis for 2010
Orders should be placed by Saturday 19th December at the latest.
The nursery shop will close at 4:00 pm on Saturday 19th December. We are now sorting new cultivars for 2010 and for many we have some plants in stock already.
Some are totally new, such as Dutch Sky; Dark Eyes (viticella). Two - Prosperity (montana) and Forever Friends are new but have been in stock for a month or so. Others such as Broughton Bride; Warszawska Olga; Lech Walesa, Rooran and Mary Rose are ones that we have had in the past, but only occasionally, and in small numbers. You will find these newly available clematis on the New and Renewed page which I have created ready for these new cultivars. It is all about planning ahead at this time of year and we are now potting plants for the 2010 Chelsea Flower Show. We hope to hear soon if we have been accepted!
We have fairly recently updated the availability indicator on the website, so please take a look if you think you may need to fill a gap or add some colour to a shrub that looks dull in late summer. Or you may like to buy someone a gift, we can include a message for you. Full details are on the website and secure ordering system.
Special Offers have also been increased with a page that lists them all. These are now £7.00 each, or four for £25.00. (Plus Packing and Dispatch at normal rates).
On-line Shop and Catalogue now fixed. You may have been aware that our shop and on-line catalogue were not working for the first two weeks of July.
We have now moved the on-line shop and all other pages of our website to a new hosting company. We expect this to be more reliable and would like to apologise to those who were unable to refer to the catalogue or place an order.Whilst repairing the on-line shop we decided to move all pages onto the one site instead of the split we used to have, so you will now find all pages are part of www.thorncroftclematis.co.uk
So, thorncroft.co.uk is dead - long live thorncroftclematis.co.uk !Many of you have complimented us over the years about the website and it's ease of use, so we have decided not to change the style or functionality.
As always, we are happy to receive feedback from our customers about the website and on-line services.
