Challenging Tenth Chelsea and Twitter (01/05/2010 @ 10:09:58)

This year's Chelsea Flower Show will be quite a challenge as the prolonged and severe winter has delayed the growth of our display plants.
We hope we will get enough into flower to make as good a show as ever, but there are only 23 days to Judging!

And judging this year is by a new 'Points System' so - will that help us to earn our Fourth Gold on the trot?
It's our Tenth Chelsea, so we really hope so.

You can follow us on Twitter at 'thorncroftclems' to find out!

New Terms and Conditions (01/05/2010 @ 10:05:17)
From 1st May 2010 we will be changing to a 'Paid on Order' procedure.
Payment will be taken at the time the order is placed, as is now standard amongst most on-line systems.
Refunds will be given as soon as any changes are made to your order if this results in a lower total cost.
This will enable us to keep down staffing costs and therefore our prices.

2010 New Introductions (07/10/2009 @ 11:14:48)

The new season will soon be with us and we are planning our new introductions.
Some are already available and these are now on the website on the NEW and RENEWED page.

Our latest Newsletter also has details of dispatch dates for the rest of the year.

If you are not signed up for our newsletter, you can do so now by filling in your e-mail address in the box above. You will get a copy of the latest newsletter straight away - but don't forget to add sales@thorncroft.co.uk as an allowed address to your spam filter!

CHELSEA GOLD AGAIN (27/05/2009 @ 17:00:54)
We are delighted to announce that we have acheived our Hatrick!

At this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show we were awarded a Gold Medal for the third year in a row!

We were also delighted with the response from the public both in compliments about the stand and in the number of orders placed. We hope to have pictures of the 2009 exhibit on the website in a week or two.

Photographs at last! (04/02/2009 @ 16:10:04)
Yes, after a bit of a delay, we have finally made time to sort, select and up load pictures of almost all clematis listed in our on-line catalogue.
We hope they will help you select the right one for your garden. New additions will be sorted in the next week or so.
New prices too will be applied around 20th February, so order now to avoid the price rises!

Chelsea 2009 (30/10/2008 @ 15:38:50)
Here we go again!
We are delighted to confirm that we have been accepted for Chelsea 2009.
Plants are being potted up and we look forward to another chance to display our clematis in an eye catching way.
Once again we plan to introduce a number of new cultivars from breeders around the world.
Come and see us in the Great Pavilion - the bit you hardly see on TV!

Inner Temple Show success (30/09/2008 @ 18:19:09)
During the first part of September we were pleased to exhibit at the RHS Show at the Inner Temple in the heart of London.
We were awarded a Silver-Gilt medal (just one down from a Gold).

Our display featured late summer and autumn flowering clematis and also many second flowerings of the early large group that we had displayed at Chelsea.

This was our last show for this year, but we have applied for Chelsea 2009 so we hope to be 'on the road' again next May.

Chelsea GOLD and the Aftermath (12/06/2008 @ 13:48:09)
We were delighted to be awarded another Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
This is our second in a row and has resulted in a wonderful response from customers.
Unfortunately this means that we are not currently meeting our normal service targets and dispatch of orders is delayed in some cases.
We hope you will be patient with us during this exciting, if slightly frustrating, time!

Raymond Evison Collection Added (11/02/2008 @ 16:50:24)
Today we have added all new introductions, including the Raymond Evison Branded Collection of new and best clematis.
Visit the Raymond Evison Page in our on-line catalogue.

Postage and Packaging prices for most of the UK have been held again - for the fifth year in a row.

We have managed to add a few photographs this winter. Hopefully a few more will follow soon.

Autumn Update (02/10/2007 @ 14:46:04)
As plants slow down we can now spend a little more time on the website.
So far we have improved the Card Payment system (now more secure as your card details are not seen by us, they go straight to Barclays!), added some more pages to the 'main site' and cleaned up the look of the catalogue pages. There is also a page for new introductions for 2008.
Photos are next, as soon as I have selected the most accurate and reduced them, etc.

CHELSEA GOLD !! (31/05/2007 @ 15:51:20)
We are delighted to have been awarded a GOLD MEDAL at Chelsea Flower Show. This is our first Gold at Chelsea and it has been wonderful to have achieved this in our 7th year at Chelsea. We will have pictures of the stand on our website early in June for you to see (or be reminded of) the display. Thank you to all those who have sent cards or e-mails of congratulations.

Flowers Galore - as seen on TV (27/04/2007 @ 13:02:19)
As we enter May, things are really roaring away here. The Garden looks wonderful with wisteria, cherry and of course the spring flowering clematis - alpinas, macropetalas and soon the montanas. The nursery, shop and website are busy and we are trying to slow down our display plants for Chelsea. They are flowering too soon! With so much to do and a fortnight away at Chelsea soon, the website development is on hold. So pictures up to 'H' are now there but the rest will have to wait until June or July I think. We hope you enjoy this spectacular time of year. If you watch Gardeners' World you will see more of our Clematis being planted tonight!

New On-line Shop (24/01/2007 @ 14:43:36)
NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS

We have just made our new shop 'live' in time for our new catalogue publication in February.
