Larger Image This unique double flowered clematis has amazing golden foliage and is thought to be the world's only golden leaved, large flowered clematis.  Its striking leaves and stems are edged with red which adds to its dramatic appearance.  The exquisite double blooms which are borne from the old ripened wood, are pale mauve-blue and have streaks of gold along the bars of the six main outer tepals.  The cascading layers of inner tepals open to reveal a crown of stamens which have white filaments and red anthers.
