For easy selection you can use the filter in the left margin to find what you are looking for. You can select from one or more attributes, for instance: Colour - Blue and then also select Pruning - Hard, this will show you all the Hard prune clematis which are all different shades of blue.

Clematis are a wonderfully diverse genius plant. They have a wide range of flower size, colour and form, meaning there is a clematis plant for almost every taste and place in the garden. Clematis plants make wonderful companions and can be used very effectively to screen and hide objects and to enhance the colour and flowering of a host like roses, wisteria or shrubs. There are also herbaceous clematis which give very good summer colour and are very attractive to bees and insects and they are very easy clematis to grow.

Clematis are very diverse and so are their needs, therefore it is important to pay careful attention to the planting and location requirements, so do follow our clematis care guide and advice carefully to get the best out of your clematis plants.

We have a wide variety of different types of clematis plants for sale, many of these will be suitable for growing in patio containers, a useful list of our favourites is here.
