As Featured on the BBC and Launched by Thorncroft Clematis at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019.
This lovely new clematis was named after the newest addition to the royal family Meghan Markle after her marriage to Prince Harry on 19th May 2018 and was bred by New Leaf Plants.
Stunning dark purply-red summer flowers are produced in abundance May-June and again from late July-September, on the current season's growth. Her height of up to 5ft makes 'Meghan' ideal for planting in a container and growing up an obelisk, however she is also at home in the border or grown on a pergola. Prune annually in February/March to keep clematis 'Meghan' tidy and to maximise the flowering potential.
