Thorncroft Clematis and Climbers holds most personal details on our files digitally, but some order records are on paper. We hold details for contractual obligations and core business purposes. We store your name, postal, delivery and email address, telephone number and order history. We hold this data to enable us to fulfil your order, document our business relationship with you and provide advice and support when required. We can hold this data indefinitely, even if the customer asks to be removed from our mailing list. This is to help us manage future interactions with our customers. After a period of years, we may remove this data when it is considered to be of no potential value to ourselves or the customer.
Any personal information we hold about you is stored and processed in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

Thorncroft Clematis & Climbers do not buy in data, nor sell-on any data they collect. Nobody has full access to your data, except our own staff. Data is shared with our delivery partners who are provided with only the essential delivery details required for the efficient dispatch of your order. Also, the professionals who support our IT systems will have limited access to records for the purpose of maintaining our service and security requirements. Card payment details are routed direct through the Worldpay system for transaction processing. We do not hold any debit or credit card details.
We know how much data security matters to all our customers. With this in mind we will treat your data with the utmost care and take all appropriate steps to protect it. We secure access to all transactional areas of our websites and apps using ‘https’ technology. Virus protection systems are maintained and operated as recommended for maximum protection. Access to your personal data is password-protected. We regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and liaise with our IT consultants on digital security.
