I have a large garden in Brighton and a small flat with balcony in Paris. When my friend stopped by my flat to pick up two pots of clematis to bring to Paris he picked up the wrong ones--this Clematis napaulensis and Freckles! Surprise! They both did very well in pots on the balcony and now are in second winter. This Napaulensis did not have as many flowers nor flowers for as long as indicated but both these clematis were in full flower in dreary November and December! Fair warning Napaulensis did lose its leaves at height of Paris summer heat wave (30 degrees C) and my neighbour, dispairing, almost threw it away! (Posted on 27/01/2017)
