These eye-catching star-like blooms have broad light rosy-purple margins that merge towards an almost white centre and purply-black stamens. An exciting addition to our collection. (Previously known as 'Starburst')
'Cloudburst' was introduced to the UK in 2015 by Thorncroft Clematis along with a sister plant called 'Skyfall' - (Nothing to do with the James Bond film, just a coincidence).
Both plants were bred in Poland by Szczepan Marczynski a world renowned nurseryman and plant breeder.
The blooms are around 2-3 inches across and come in abundance from June through to the end of September.
Hard prune each February/March at around 12-18 inches from the soil and your clematis 'Cloudburst' will grow strongly to a height of around 8-10 feet tall. She is ideal for growing on an arch or pergola and will also make a wonderful companion to other plants like roses and wisteria and due to her Polish origins 'Cloudburst' is a very hardy clematis too.
