I collected this from Thorncroft and had 3 fantastic years - then in 2016 it started budding up, and I pruned it a little late (mid March) - it never recovered and died! Logged on to buy another one, but none in stock - hope it comes back in soon. I particularly loved the smoky purple colour, and the story about it being 'lost' until re-discovered this century..... definitely want another one! (Posted on 10/03/2017)
I have Mary Rose planted together with the climbing rose Pink Cloud. They are both very vigorous, but so far, I have not seen them flowering at the same time. Possibly, the small Mary Rose flowers are a bit small with respect to the Pink Cloud ones.
Mary Rose has not yet flowered this year (June 2014), but last year it was filled with flowers and flowered for a long time, despite the despicable weather in 2013. (Posted on 04/06/2014)
