Californian lilac. The dense, evergreen plant you see in late April/May full of mid to rich blue spherical flowers. Classed as a wall-shrub, these plants give you excellent value for money. Easy to grow, light shade or full sun in all but waterlogged soil.

The clematis Jan Lindmark has very handsome semi-double bell-shaped flowers of mid rosy-lavender. A favourite in our family as it is named after our friend, a respected clematarian and  garden writer in Sweden.

The bright yellow nodding lantern-shaped flowers are followed by beautiful silky seed-heads. Grow in a sunny position to enhance the coconut-like perfume. A favourite in our garden.

This is our selection of the species macropetela. This form has light to mid blue semi-double nodding bell-shaped flowers that are borne in abundance throughout the spring.

The charming dusky mauve-pink flowers have a deeper half-bar when first open. She pales to a delicate pearly-pink as her blooms mature. Introduced by Fisks Clematis Nursery in 1969 clematis 'Margaret Hunt' is one of our most popular summer flowering clematis.

The semi-double flowers have a cream base heavily overlaid with deep salmon-pink. Salmon-pink colouration can be very slight in the first years of the plants life and will deepen with age. Colour develops best in sunny aspects.
